Caroline’s practice explores ideas through ‘making’: often executing fastidious detail in the process where she utilises her combined skills as a fine artist and theatre designer to continue a research of ‘Sculpture and Installation’.  In the main her work considers a dialogue with ‘place’ and she creates objects which seek to respond and draw influence directly to the context within which they will be sited; leading moreover to a broader analysis of the sculptural object in terms of ‘concept’, ‘materiality’ and ‘context’. Investigating the body, her enquiry has developed to examine the figure, space, and both in terms of presence and absence – serving to determine ideas about habitation and occupation in effect:
